Financial Support Program

Finding the right caregiver can already be challenging. Paying for the care your family needs can make it even harder, especially when you're waiting for services to begin, approved hours aren't enough, or available funding doesn't cover the true cost of specialized care.

The Allies for Allies Financial Support Program is designed to help bridge those gaps. Eligible families may receive up to $2,000 in financial assistance to help offset the cost of caregiving support when existing resources fall short.

Funding is limited and based on eligibility, program capacity, and available resources.

How Can the Program Help?

Every family's situation is different. Financial support may be available when:

  • You're waiting for regional center services or other funding to begin.

  • Your existing respite or caregiver hours aren't enough to meet your family's needs.

  • Available caregiver pay rates make it difficult to find or retain appropriate support.

  • Your family needs specialized caregiving that traditional childcare options may not be equipped to provide.

The goal is simple: to help families bridge gaps in care and maintain more consistent, reliable support while navigating existing services and funding.

How Does It Work?

We've designed the process to be as straightforward and supportive as possible.

1. Tell us what your family needs.
Start by submitting a Request for Support with information about your care needs, schedule, current gaps in support, and caregiver information if you already have someone providing care.

2. We'll review your request.
Our team will review the information you provide to determine eligibility and whether the program may be a good fit for your family's needs. We may schedule a brief call or Google Meet to learn more about your situation and will confirm your existing regional center services and funding.

3. We'll create a support plan together.
If your request is approved, we'll work with you to confirm your care schedule, caregiver arrangement, and the amount of financial support available. We'll also collect any required documentation and walk you through the timesheet and payment process so you know exactly what to expect.

4. Review, sign, and get started.
Once the required agreements and documentation are complete and approved, your support can begin. Families submit caregiver timesheets according to the program schedule, and eligible supplemental payments are processed based on approved hours worked.

Where Does the Financial Support Go?

Our Financial Support Program is designed to directly support the cost of caregiving.

Under the current Allies for Allies Care Platform supplemental compensation agreement, approved financial assistance is tied to actual caregiving hours worked and is generally paid directly to the caregiver rather than provided as an unrestricted cash grant to the family.

Families submit approved caregiver timesheets every two weeks, and Allies for Allies uses those records to process eligible supplemental payments.

This helps ensure that program funds are directly supporting the care families need while allowing us to responsibly manage the resources entrusted to the program.

How Much Support Is Available?

Eligible families may receive up to $2,000 in financial support.

The amount offered will depend on the family's approved support plan, caregiver arrangement, program eligibility, and available funding. Because resources are limited, submitting a request does not guarantee funding.

Ready to Request Support?

You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

Start by completing the Allies for Allies Request for Support Form and tell us a little about your family's caregiving needs and where you're experiencing a gap in support.

Our team will review your request and connect with you about next steps.

When care needs are overwhelming, we're here to help families find a path forward.
