Why We Exist
Care Crisis
Families of individuals with disabilities and complex needs deserve access to care and support that understands their needs. But finding trusted, specialized care can be difficult, time-consuming, and out of reach for too many families.
Allies for Allies exists to help close that gap.
Our Mission
To ensure families of individuals with disabilities and complex needs have access to the care and support they need to thrive.
Our Vision
A world where every Remarkable Human and their family has the care, support, and community they need to thrive.
The Care Gap
What Families Face and Why it Matters
Every day, families and guardians of individuals with disabilities and complex needs show up with extraordinary love and commitment. Their days are filled with pride, joy, and deep purpose, but also real challenges.
One of the most difficult and overlooked is finding trusted, specialized support from someone with the right experience. Families are often left navigating complicated systems, scattered resources, limited care options, and support that doesn't reflect their real-life needs.
This is the care gap. And it's exactly what Allies for Allies is working to close.

Closing the Four Elements of the Care Gap
1.
Resource
Families of Remarkable Humans spend countless hours navigating systems that were not built with their family's needs in mind, and most platforms do not include the specialized resources, providers, or vetting they need.
The Allies for Allies Bridge: Our free, easy-to-use care platform connects families with specialized, vetted caregivers. By covering the full cost of caregiver screenings and offering financial assistance to families in need, we are removing barriers to access and ensuring peace of mind.
2.
Time
Even the most devoted allies need moments to breathe, rest, and take care of themselves. Running errands, juggling work, or attending a doctor's appointment often feel out of reach, and that can lead to burnout and isolation.
The Allies for Allies Bridge: Through our care platform, we help families access consistent care or respite care, a short-term, trusted option that allows caregivers to step away for self-care, errands, or essential appointments.
3.
Connection
Many families face the challenges of caregiving in isolation. Without a strong support network or trusted guidance, they feel disconnected from resources, from peers, and from others who relate to their day-to-day reality.
The Allies for Allies Bridge: We're creating spaces for allies to experience connection and belonging through an online community, curated resource-sharing, and hosted events.
4.
Understanding
Too often, families, caregivers, and Remarkable Humans feel misunderstood or unseen in public spaces, with caregivers constantly educating others, interpreting behavior, and managing confusion.
The Allies for Allies Bridge: We foster greater awareness, compassion and acceptance so every person is supported and valued.

Founded With Understanding
Allies for Allies was born from the lived experience of founder Alison Pincus and her family. Her son Wyatt, a joyful, curious child with a rare chromosomal microdeletion disorder, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder, has been the inspiration behind every step of the organization.
From the earliest days of Wyatt's diagnosis, their journey has been one of learning, questioning, adapting, and reimagining what support can and should look like.
Through every twist and turn, one truth became clear: finding specialized support shouldn't be this hard.
What started as a deeply personal challenge revealed a much broader reality. Families everywhere were facing the same thing: searching for care, answers, and community, often alone.
That's when Alison decided to build something different.
Care

Community

What it Means to Be an Ally
To us, being an ally means showing up, with empathy, with action, and with a commitment to walk alongside those who give so much of themselves every day.
“Finding care isn't one-size-fits-all, especially when your child has unique needs. Allies for Allies is not just providing an empowering solution; they're bringing empathy, expertise, and trust to the process.”Lynn Perkins (Co-Founder and CEO of UrbanSitter; Board Member, Allies for Allies)
