Our mission
To be a resource for parents⁄guardians and caregivers who support neurodivergent individuals or those with intellectual disabilities (some may say unique intellectual abilities).
By focusing on care, community and empowerment, we are committed allies supporting Down syndrome, intellectual and developmental disability (IDD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and rare disease communities. Throughout our site and on our product you will see the words remarkable human because that’s how we refer to our communities.
Our Inspiration Story
"Our precious Wyatt has a rare chromosomal microdeletion disorder, identifies with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder. From the earliest days of Wyatt's diagnoses, our journey has been unexpected—a path of uncovering, questioning, solving, and rethinking.
Wyatt’s life experience has motivated our family to envision a resource like Allies for Allies. For years, we’ve wanted to help solve challenges (big and small) that we and so many others have encountered.
We decided to launch with a care tool to better identify those who have experience working with remarkable humans. We are also launching with gear to help with safety, self identification and empowerment. It became apparent that Allies for Allies gear could help solve both safety concerns, and be a cornerstone for proudly communicating uniqueness. We believe our gear will be equally helpful for those who are active, or for those traveling through life whether at an airport or supermarket. We'll launch with branded badges and lanyards.
Like anything, we are starting small and hope to positively transform the experience of our communities and families. We are profoundly grateful for this life changing experiences and our miraculous son."
